LATE POST - The ABC's of Christmas Part 3

This is another late post...decided to blog about them anyway because the alphabets wouldn't be complete.

Day 19 - S is for Snowman
We sang Frosty the Snowman while doing this craft

Day 20 - T is for Tree
Who wouldn't love the sight of a Christmas tree!

Day 21 - U is for Unwrapping
It was hard to think of a Christmas thing for this letter.
Unwrapping looks like a good word for everyone is excited to unwrap the presents under the tree.

Day 22 - V is for Village
Little houses to represent the village

I am an Achiever, I am a KUMON KID

Kids woke up early today to attend the Recognition Day of their Kumon Center.

Even though they just started last September, they still managed to achieve Bronze Medal status in Reading and Math. A Bronze Medal is given to a student who is studying 6 months advance of his current school level in Kumon.

Congratulations my sweethearts. Mommy is so proud of you two.

SAMBOKOJIN
Japanese and Korean Buffet and Yakiniku Smokeless Grill

We let the kids decide on where we would eat after their Recognition Day.
They chose Sambokojin in SM Southmall, Las Pinas.

It was a great place to eat but take note, you should be ready with an empty stomach.

They have a Sushi / Maki bar, a great selection of Korean and Japanese dishes and of course all you can think of when it comes to grilling. We specially love the Tender Beef with Asparagus. Yummy.

LATE POSTS - The ABCs of Christmas...Part 2

Sorry for the late posts...the holiday season proved to be very chaotic on my part that even my blog had to suffer...hahaha...

Anyways, to continue with our Christmas Countdown Activity, here are the remaining letters for the ABCs of Christmas...

Day 14 - N is for NATIVITY
We read the story of the Nativity.

Day 15 - O is for ORNAMENTS
Ornaments that adorn the Christmas Trees

Day 16 - P is for PRESENTS
The kids can't wait to open the presents that pile up under the tree. But they were also reminded that the Christmas season isn't all about receiving presents but rather the thought of giving and sharing.

Day 17 - Q is for QUILT
The Quilt to keep us warm during those cold and chilly nights.

Day 18 - R is for REINDEER
We sang Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

Instead of the usual Christmas Party in the classroom,  the Kindergarten and Prep Departments of my kids school held a Christmas Brunch last December 18, 2012.

Each family was tasked to bring in some food to share with the other families. We brought macaroni salad for the brunch which was held at the school playground. There was a variety of food from pastries to sausages and fruits.

The kids also had something nice to give their parents, they baked some Christmas cookies the day before the gathering.

The Christmas Brunch was also an opportunity to mingle with the parents of my little girl's classmates.
